In contrast to the human eye, which can only process wavelengths of the primary colors red, green and blue, multispectral or hyperspectral systems record data in a very broad spectral range, which can range from the ultraviolet to the long-wave infrared. As a result, additional information is obtained from the examined object, which can provide additional conclusions about its condition and its composition.
Properties:
- Non-contact, non-destructive measurement
- Backscattering or transmission method
- Analysis of biological and chemical samples
